First of all, there is no need to panic if you are not getting enough sleep. No one has ever died of lack of sleep and every person’s sleep requirements are different and will change from time-to-time with age. People over 60 need far less sleep than those 20 and under. It may be normal for you to get only 6 hours of sleep every night. Here are some other tips for managing sleep.
Try to go to bed at the same time every night. Avoid sleeping or dozing off during the daytime. Use your bed only for sleeping and do not watch TV in bed. If you cannot sleep after 15 minutes, get up and sit in another room to watch TV or read.
Exercise can help your body to be tired enough to want to sleep at night. This should be done in the morning or early afternoon. Avoid stimulants such as caffeine which can be found in coffee, tea cola drinks, and chocolate after 7 pm at night.
Sit quietly in a dark room before going to bed. Listening to gentle music, reading, talking on the phone, playing cards, chess, etc are all better choices that watching TV. The first step is to quiet the mind and shutting it off. If you have some stressful situation on your mind, it is sometimes good to write it out on paper and release any negative thinking. You can try to work out the problem on paper and come up with solutions so that you can put your mind at rest.
Make sure your mattress and pillow are comfortable for you. Wear loose-fitting clothes. Turn bright digital clocks away from your bed. Make sure the room is completely dark and isn’t too hot or too cold. Try relaxing with a fifteen-minute hot bath with 2 cups of Epsom salts or baking soda before bed.
Sleep on 100 percent cotton sheets. New bedding treated with formaldehyde can cause you not to sleep. Wash new bedding before you sleep on it.
Avoid eating large meals before bed. However, you may want to eat a light snack of a healthy food such as an apple or a pear prior to bedtime if you are hungry. This will help to maintain blood sugar levels during the sleep cycle and lessen the morning blues. If you are sensitive to electromagnetic fields, make sure to move all electrical appliances at least six feet from the head of your bed.
If your muscles are tight, try these gentle stretching exercises while sitting in a comfortable chair:
- Shoulder shrug: Move your shoulders in circles, backwards and forwards. Repeat five times.
- Neck-rotation stretch: Look over your right shoulder. Breathe slowly in and out. Reverse to the left. Repeat five times.
- Neck side stretch: Place your left hand in the small of your back and your right hand on top of your head. Gently bend your head to the right. Breathe slowly in and out. Reverse to the left. Repeat five times.
Take medication for underactive thyroid first thing in the morning instead of in the evening. Other medications, such as decongestants, appetite suppressants, blood pressure or seizure medication, and beta-blockers, can interfere with sleep if taken at night.
Acupressure can help to relax you. Apply gentle pressure on the feet at the big toes, tips of toes, and up the sides and the middle of the lower legs. Hold for ten seconds at a time, and then rub gently. Also, deep breathing and relaxation tips can help you relax. Try this for a moment: Breathe in slowly to the count of seven. Hold your breath to the count of seven. Then, breathe out to the count of seven. This will help you release any anxiety. Repeat this breathing exercise from 5-10 times until you are feeling relaxed and you will notice a considerable difference in your relaxation response.
If you absolutely have to take a supplement, it is best to take something herbal that is non-addictive. In my research as a physician, I have found some products that are fast acting, effective and natural that can be used to help you sleep if this is necessary. Homeopathic medicines and herbal products have been found to be more safe and effective than prescription drugs which can be addictive and can cause side effects. Click here to find helpful information about products that we have found to be effective.
We hope these tips above will help you to manage your sleep habits better.
Sweet Dreams!

You can learn to manage your stress and lead a happier, healthier life. The main origin of stress is in your mind and stressful energy is around us 24 hours a day. Therefore, we must learn to re-train our minds and learn how to perceive stress in a different light if we are to attain a healthier and harmonious existence on earth. Here are some tips on how to do this:
Keep a positive attitude. Accept the fact that there are things you cannot control in life (like other people and their reactions to you) despite all your efforts. Make up your mind that you CAN and WANT to feel better! Your mind is a very powerful tool that you have at your disposal. It has been proven that you can program your subconscious with suggestions and visualization techniques to be able to accomplish anything that you want to accomplish. This is where the law of attraction and manifestation comes into play. This law shows us that what you think about and feel on a daily basis creates your life and your experiences. Therefore, when you want to manage your stress levels, start to see yourself as a calm person with a happy and healthy life and body! I am sure what you are thinking right now that this is easier said than done and if I had your problems I would not be writing this. On the contrary, many of our lives and experiences are parallel to each other and it is what one chooses to do with the situation that can make the difference in the outcome.
Relaxation techniques can help you a great deal. Daily meditation, yoga or tai-chi can assist you with training your mind and body to de-stress. There are also plenty of meditation CD’s and tapes that can help to get your mind in the right place to release the stress of the day. Products that use frequency medicine to trigger the mind’s Alpha and Theta States and the body’s Relaxation Response can be very helpful to help reduce stress and heal the body. These products tap into scalar energy that is abundant in the universe and which can be very helpful to those that want to relieve stress in the body. What is scalar energy? Scalar energy was originally researched by famous scientists such as Nikola Tesla and Lahovsky. There has been extensive research over the years done by NASA in the area of scalar energy and its effect on the human physiology. Scalar energy increases the millivolt potential of the cell which increases oxidation of the cell and has a major effect on the emotions. It is one of the best things that we have found to get you into a deep meditative state that helps to heal the body on a cellular level.
Additionally, make sure to get enough sleep and also eat well-balanced meals. Getting the proper sleep, water, and nutrition can make a big difference in how well your body copes with stress. Exercise is also important in managing stress. Exercise that you enjoy is very important. If you are exercising and it is creating more stress on your mind or body because it is too strenuous, it is defeating the purpose of exercising. You should enjoy your exercise and do fun things that get your body moving. It should not feel like work or a gruesome task that you are compelled to do!
Setting limits and boundaries in your life is important. Learn how to say “No” to people who invite you to do things or ask you to do things that you do not want to do. Make yourself a priority and put your needs at the top of the list. If you do not care for yourself, you cannot care for others.
Make time for hobbies and interests that make you feel good. Take up a new hobby to help you do fun things instead of always focusing on work and responsibilities.
Don’t rely on alcohol, drugs, or compulsive behaviors to reduce stress. Seek out social support in terms of support groups or friends that can be there to listen instead of going to drugs and alcohol to escape. Also make time to spend quality time with those you love. They can be a great support team for you as well.
When you are feeling burned out and down, it is easy to get trapped into negative thinking and fall into depression. Get in touch with those low feelings and also give yourself some quiet time to reflect. Writing down the frustrated, angry, hopeless, or depressed thoughts can be very cleansing and allow you to release the negative feelings. If you just spend some time allowing yourself to feel the negative feelings, you can release them a lot easier. It is more productive to allow yourself to feel those negative feelings for a few minutes instead of trying to run away by working, eating, taking drugs, etc. Once you have released the negative feelings, you can replace those thoughts with positive statements and affirmations that can lead you to attract better outcomes in your life.
Spend a week without watching any television. Television can fill your mind with negativity and can give you a distorted view of reality by showing you everything that's bad about the world. Famines, disasters, murders, violence and war are very common topics on news programs and soap operas. Continually watching such things will cause you a great deal of stress! Imagine if the television programs reported on only positive events such as an increase in jobs, economic rise, and solutions to the energy crisis! Could you imagine the upswing in the world’s emotional well being and reduction of stress levels?
Find some much needed stress relief by giving your mind a break from these negative stimulants. Give up the television for a week and do something more rewarding instead such as reading a book, listening to music, socializing, working out, walking, or playing a relaxation CD. If you need to hear the news, try to listen to a radio news bulletin once a day. But really try and avoid them for one week and replace them with something more life enhancing. Out of all the stress relief tips, this is perhaps the easiest. Try it and see your stress levels drop!
One last thing—nutritional supplementation can help with stress levels. In particular the supplements of GABA, Theanine, 5 HTP, Calcium-Magnesium (2/1 ratio), and SAM’E can be very beneficial. If you follow the tips above, you are sure to lessen your stress and start to really feel better about your life!

Weight loss can be a challenge to a good number of us once we hit a certain age. My research which involves treating patients for the last 35 years in a clinical setting has shown that there are main factors that contribute to a person’s weight which will all be discussed in this article. Among some of the most important factors for resetting your metabolism are the function of the part of the brain called the hypothalamus, blood sugar levels, and the liver.
The first factor that will be discussed is the part of the brain called the hypothalamus. In the 1950’s, there were a few physicians that were studying weight loss. The doctors were able to prove that the main part of the body that controlled weight and metabolism was the hypothalamus. The physicians also discovered that a substance called HCG could reset the hypothalamus and the metabolism! HCG stands for Human Chorionic Gonadotropin and is a hormone naturally produced in large quantities during pregnancy. HCG was used on obese patients, and several important factors were discovered that were important to the research. For example, when the patients were given the HCG supplement, they had no headaches, hunger pains, weakness, or irritability as long a low calorie restricted diet was combined with HCG. This is because the purpose of HCG is to release stored nutrients for the fetus. When the HCG is taken and there is no fetus present to use the nutrients, the body releases the stored substances and the body then gets rid of them via the elimination system. This enables the body to release stored toxins and allows the body to burn ABNORMAL FAT when used in conjunction with a low calorie diet. Additionally, it was discovered that the patient does not lose muscle mass like when you put people on other low calorie diets.
More specifically, HCG acts on the hypothalamus, signaling the body to release the stored fat into the bloodstream where it is then available to be utilized by the cells for nourishment. This alone will not cause weight loss unless you combine this with a low calorie diet. This forces the body to use the mobilized fat from the bloodstream. HCG causes the release of ABNORMAL FAT without affecting structural fat and muscle tissue. This means that you only lose fat in the stubborn areas such as the hips, thighs, buttocks and upper arms. HCG not only assists the body with burning abnormal fat but also helps to reset the hypothalamus so that your metabolism will be permanently changed to a healthy normal metabolism for your body. Often people that have weight problems have done a considerable amount of yo-yo dieting and crash dieting in between period of eating many processed foods which can over time set the hypothalamus and metabolism to a very slow rate. Studies have shown that the use of HCG for a specific amount of time in the body combined with a low calorie diet adjusts the metabolic rate back to a normal healthy rate so that it will be easier to maintain your weight permanently.
In the 1950’s, injections of HCG were used for the research. Injections of HCG require a prescription from a medical doctor in the United States and can be painful and inconvenient for clients. Within the last couple of years, it has been shown that the homeopathic version of HCG in the form of drops has been producing the same results with more convenience and safety. Click here to find out more information.
Another factor in weight loss is the body’s blood sugar level. The reason why most people’s bodies are not operating efficiently and their hypothalamus is set a very slow metabolism in the first place was because of all the years of eating unhealthy processed foods. When you eat processed unhealthy foods over time, the pancreas slows down and either does not create enough insulin or creates too much insulin and results in unhealthy blood sugar balance. Therefore, going back to a healthy cleansing type of diet will help the pancreas (and all of the organs) to cleanse itself of the toxins that are clogging it and allow each organ to do their jobs that contribute toward proper food digestion, fat digestion, fat burning and a healthy metabolism.
It is very important to understand the concept of blood sugar when discussing weight maintenance. Blood sugar and insulin are very important things to control for weight maintenance. You want to keep your blood sugar in the 80-100 level range for fat burning mode. High blood sugar levels are considered in the range of 100-120 for any length of time. If your body is consistently having blood sugar levels in this range, then your body will release insulin to save the day. This is because it is dangerous for your blood sugar to be in this range for long periods of time. When insulin is released, it signals your body to store fat and also takes your blood sugar from high to low. Low blood sugar is considered anything from 60 – 80. This causes you to feel hungry, have food and sugar cravings, and fatigue. This is how you probably have felt on a good number of diet programs. A healthy diet of whole foods including fruits and vegetables, lean meat proteins and healthy fats has been proven the best for blood sugar maintenance which will put your body into the fat burning mode! Once your body gets into fat burning mode (and research has discovered this can be done in a short amount of time with the right diet), your hypothalamus will be reset and your metabolism will be much higher. Therefore, regulating your blood sugar is an important step to resetting your metabolism, burning excess abnormal fat and weight loss.
Another factor in weight loss is the liver. Our liver is mainly responsible for 2 things – burning fat and eliminating toxins that are harmful to the body. If you are eating a great deal of processed foods that are being marketed as healthy (but they really have a lot of chemicals in them), then your liver needs to spend all of its time filtering the toxins and cannot spend any time on fat burning. What are those processed foods?
- Refined Grains such as whole wheat and white bread, whole wheat and white pasta, cereals, and crackers can cause increase in blood sugar and lead to weight gain.
- Sweets such as cookies, candy, cakes, processed muffins, foods containing sugar, and high fructose corn syrup can all cause blood sugar spikes and prevent fat burning.
- Artificial sweeteners such as Equal, Splenda, Sweet N Low, etc make the liver work harder.
- Unhealthy fats such as hydrogenated oils, margarine, substitute butters, or any food items that have trans-fats cause the liver to have to filter the toxins found in these. You will find that a good deal of processed foods such as crackers, chips, pretzels, cookies, cereal bars, microwave popcorn, ready-to eat cereals, low fat and fat free products and salad dressings all have hydrogenated oils and are not good for you!
- Processed soy products which contain phytoestrogens which have been shown to affect normal hormone levels and thyroid levels that can lead to weight gain.
- Commercially processed dairy products that have been pasteurized and homogenized. The processes that they put the dairy products through cause a great deal of people to have allergies to dairy products and cause them not to be assimilated by the body which can lead to weight gain.
- Meats that have been raised with hormones and antibiotics which have to all be processed by our liver and tend to clog it.
What foods are considered healthy? The following are considered healthy, whole foods that you should incorporate in your diet as much as possible:
Best Protein Sources:
- Attempt to get your protein source from organic lean meats such as white meat poultry like turkey, chicken or white-fish. Avoid (or eat only occasionally) high-fat proteins which may cause lethargy, depression, or fatigue. Try to eat a source of protein with every meal to keep blood sugar levels stable. Whole organic eggs are also good sources of protein.
Best Carbohydrate Sources:
- Choose plenty of low-starch vegetables like broccoli and salad greens, and limit consumption of high-starch foods such as bread, pasta, and grains. If you feel sluggish, sleepy, or hungry soon after a meal containing a low-fat protein, a vegetable, and a grain, you may have eaten too much grain. Try increasing the protein amount and decreasing the grain amount the next time you have this same meal.
- The best carbohydrate sources are organic fruits and vegetables. Any whole fruits and vegetables will put your body in fat burning mode and not cause you to be fat, so you can be very liberal with fruits and vegetables. It is the grains that you have to be cautious with because these can lead to food intolerances and can cause weight gain if eaten in large quantities.
- Legumes can be tricky because they contain protein and carbohydrates and can be hard on digestion. Therefore, eat legumes less often. As with all other foods, monitor your response carefully, and pay attention to your ability to combine them with certain foods. Some people can eat chicken, beans, and vegetables and feel fine but they may feel tired and sluggish if they eat beans, rice, and vegetables.
Best Fat Sources:
- Natural, unprocessed fats help you burn fat. Fats are very misunderstood and people think that we have to avoid them like the plague in order to lose weight. This could be farther from the truth. We actually need a small amount of fat in our diet in order to burn fat! We just need to be eating the right kinds of fats. Research has shown that the best fat sources are real raw butter, whole eggs, coconut oil, olive oil, avocados and raw nuts.
Best Sweetener Sources:
- Sweeteners such as stevia, agave, and xylitol that can be found in health food stores and some regular supermarket chains are best sources of sweeteners. These have been found to not raise blood sugars as much as regular table sugar and are considered safe and effective in sweetening foods.
As you can see from the above, the factors that contribute to weight gain are not that complicated once they are broken down and described in such a way that you understand them. There are many products and information out there that can help you attain your weight loss goals!

History and current use
In 1964, George J. Goodheart invented Applied Kinesiology through his unique interpretation and application of Muscles: Testing and Function written by two physical therapists Kendall and Kendall.[10] While it is primarily used by chiropractors, it is now also used by a number of other practitioners.[11] In 2003 it was the 10th most frequently used chiropractic technique in the United States, with 37.6% of chiropractors employing this method and 12.9% of patients being treated with it,[12] and has also been used by naturopaths, medical doctors, dentists, nutritionists, physical therapists, massage therapists, nurse practitioners and multilevel distributors.[11][13]
Applied kinesiology is a system that evaluates structural, chemical, and mental aspects of health using manual muscle testing along side conventional diagnostic methods. The essential premise of applied kinesiology that is not shared by mainstream medical theory is that every organ dysfunction is accompanied by a weakness in a specific corresponding muscle, the viscerosomatic relationship.[13][14] Treatment modalities relied upon by practitioners include joint manipulation and mobilization, myofascial, cranial and meridian therapies, clinical nutrition, and dietary counseling.[15]
A manual muscle test in AK is conducted by having the patient resist using the target muscle or muscle group while the practitioner applies a force. A smooth response is sometimes referred to as a "strong muscle" and a response that was not appropriate is sometimes called a "weak response". This is not a raw test of strength, but rather a subjective evaluation of tension in the muscle and smoothness of response, taken to be indicative of stresses and imbalances in the body.[16] A weak muscle test is equated to dysfunction and chemical or structural imbalance or mental stress, indicative of a body dissatisfied with suboptimal functioning.[17] The most common test is the arm-pull-down test, or "Delta test," where the patient resists as the practitioner exerts a downward force on an extended arm.[10] Proper positioning is paramount to ensure that the muscle in question is the prime mover, minimizing interference from adjacent muscle groups.[14]
"Nutrient testing" is used to examine the response of various of a patient's muscles to assorted chemicals. Gustatory and olfactory stimulation are said to alter the outcome of a manual muscle test, with previously weak muscles being strengthened by application of the correct nutritional supplement, and previously strong muscles being weakened by exposure to harmful or imbalancing substances or allergens.[14][16][18] Though its use is deprecated by the ICAK,[19] stimulation to test muscle response to a certain chemical is also done by contact or proximity (for instance, testing while the patient holds a bottle of pills).
A double-blind study was conducted by the ALTA Foundation for Sports Medicine Research in Santa Monica, California and published in the June 1988 Journal of the American Dietetic Association. The study used 3 experienced AK practitioners and concluded that, "The results of this study indicated that the use of Applied Kinesiology to evaluate nutrient status is no more useful than random guessing."[20]
"Therapy localization" is another diagnostic technique using manual muscle testing which is unique to applied kinesiology. The patient places a hand which is not being tested on the skin over an area suspected to be in need of therapeutic attention. This fingertip contact is hypothesized to focus the mind on the relevant area, leading to a change in muscle response from strong to weak or vice versa when therapeutic intervention is indicated. If the area touched is not associated with a need for such intervention, the muscle response is unaffected.[17]
Scientific Research
Proponents of AK cite evidence about the methods, clinical efficacy, and neurologic rationales of applied kinesiology examination and treatment.[21][22][23][24]. However, many studies of Applied Kinesiology have failed to show clinical efficacy. For example, muscle testing has not been shown to distinguish a test substance from a placebo under double-blind conditions, and the use of applied kinesiology to evaluate nutrient status has not been shown to be more effective than random guessing. Some scientific studies have shown that applied kinesiology tests are not reproducible.[25][26][27][28][29] A review of several scientific studies have shown that AK-specific procedures and diagnostic tests concluded that "
A review of the literature revealed methodological problems with previous AK studies[22] and some studies show clinical efficacy. For example one study showed a high degree of correlation between AK muscle testing for food allergies and antibodies for those foods. The AK procedure in this study involved stimulation of taste receptors followed by muscle testing for change in strength.[23] The patient was suspected of being allergic to foods that disrupted muscle function. Blood drawn subsequently showed the presence of antibodies to the foods which were found to be allergenic through AK assessment. In another blinded study, the response of a calf muscle, to an inhibitory reflex technique used in AK was studied using graphical recordings of electromyography and mechanical parameters. The study found that with good coordination between the examiner and subject, muscle inhibition was easily recorded.[24]
Some of the studies, research and reviews of applied kinesiology mentioned above are listed at the National Library of Medicine and National Institutes of Health.[20] [27] [28] [31] [32] [33] [34]
Based on the concept of internal energy fundamental to traditional Chinese medicine, muscle testing is a noninvasive way of evaluating the body’s imbalances and assessing its needs. It involves testing the body’s responses when applying slight pressure to a large muscle, to provide information on energy blockages, the functioning of the organs, nutritional deficiencies, and food sensitivities, among other things. It can also be used to test the body’s responses to herbs and other remedies.
In a typical example of muscle testing, you’re given an herb to hold. You extend the other arm and are asked to keep it straight. The practitioner presses down on this arm and the opposite shoulder with equal pressure (to facilitate balance). If the herb is something you need, you’ll be able to resist the downward pressure and hold your arm rigid. If not, you won’t. The same procedure can be used to determine how often you should take each herb and how much each time. It can also be used to test the body’s responses to foods (for allergies), thoughts, sounds, colors, and emotions.
Some practitioners test with your arm straight out to the side, which relates only to the lung meridian. (The meridians are energy channels recognized by Chinese medicine.) Others use the central meridian for testing, with your arm toward the front and at an angle below horizontal. All the meridians intersect with the central meridian, so testing this way encompasses more body systems than testing just the lung meridian and is less fatiguing for both parties. Testing can also be done while you’re sitting or lying down.
Although muscle testing is simple, responses may be inconclusive if your energy is blocked. Testing your polarity before doing anything else reveals whether energy in the central meridian is flowing in the right direction. If not, it must be corrected before proceeding. The same polarity check is used with each product tested, to make sure the product doesn’t interfere with your polarity. The selected products are also tested as a group, because a product may test well individually, but combining it with others may produce a synergistic effect that reduces or eliminates the need for it.
Muscle testing is often referred to as applied kinesiology, although the two are not the same. Applied kinesiology originated with the work of Dr. George Goodheart, a chiropractor, in the sixties, based on earlier work by others. Offshoots of this technique, referred to as “specialized kinesiologies,” have also been developed. Perhaps the best known is a program called Touch for Health (TFH), created by a colleague of Goodheart’s, Dr. John Thie, which is taught worldwide. (Thie’s illustrated book, Touch for Health, has sold over half a million copies. Another classic in the field is Your Body Doesn’t Lie, by John Diamond, M.D.)
Touch For Health involves a specific series of tests with each limb in different positions, to ascertain how well each of the organ systems is communicating with the brain. It also involves balancing energy flow in meridians that are deficient, by holding pairs of points on the body and working lymphatic massage points. The International College of Applied Kinesiology, in Switzerland, promulgates the Touch For Health curriculum, which consists of several levels, and certifies instructors and their students.
By contrast, “muscle testing” often refers to a technique of testing points on the body to ascertain particular vitamin and mineral deficiencies. Donald Lepore, a naturopathic doctor, explains some of this in The Ultimate Healing System. It’s also possible to learn a simple technique for self-testing.
Self-testing can be done in various ways. One way is to touch the thumb to the middle finger of each hand to form two rings, linked through each other. Say something true—for example, “My name is [give your name].” At the same time, pull the linked fingers of the right hand against those of the left, but don’t allow them to separate.
Then say something false—for example, “My name is [give someone else’s name].” Do the same thing as before with the fingers, but this time deliberately separate them, as though they were flying apart or repelling each other. (You don’t need to make the true and false statements aloud—silently is okay, as long as you do it each time.)
The idea is to train the mind in different responses for truth and falsehood. If you practice this 10 or 15 minutes a day, you should be able to develop the response within a few weeks.
You can also check your responses by holding something detrimental while self-testing—sugar, for example—and seeing what response you get. Put the container in your pocket or hold it under your arm and test. Then hold something good for you—an herb you need or an organic vegetable—and test that. If you think your mind is influencing the results, you can have someone else put equal weights of both items in identical nonmetal containers.
An important element of muscle testing is your polarity. If it’s not correct (indicating that your energy is blocked), the results will be inaccurate. A discussion of polarity and its effect on muscle testing is beyond the scope of this article, but you can (and should) check your polarity by self-testing, once you learn it. Test while saying “My polarity is 100 percent” before testing anything else. The response to this statement will always be correct, even if your polarity is off. This is the only response you can be sure is correct under those circumstances.
Polarity can be corrected in a number of ways. One way is to hold a bottle of chlorophyll or spirulina while testing or take a few drops of chlorophyll in water. You may need to remove any metal you’re wearing. You can also be off if you’re hungry or thirsty. Drink a glass of water and/or eat something.
Your polarity should be correct most of the time. If it isn’t, you may want to consult someone who knows about muscle testing to find out what you can do about it.
Muscle testing will not provide accurate responses to certain statements: about the future, for example. You’ll get a response, but if you say, “This answer is reliable,” the response will be no. Muscle testing can be helpful for testing your responses to relationships and occupations, among other subjects. Keep in mind that statements are taken literally, so they have to be worded precisely.
The world runs on vibration. Everything we see, taste, touch, smell, and hear is made up of vibration. These vibrations either make our body strong by responding positively to them which in turn makes our bodies, muscles, and ultimately our immune system strong--or they weaken it. The goal is to find those things, foods, people, and situations that strengthen your body and therefore strengthen your immune system. You also want to stay away from or limit exposure to those things that weaken your body.
The body is an integral interacting whole. Muscles, organs, and glands are interconnected via energy circuits of nerves, lymphatics, energy meridians, and blood vessels. These circuits "turn off" when imbalanced or blocked by illness, injury, or toxin overload. By balancing the body's energy, the systems are able to heal returning us to a state of health. Muscle testing is one method that allows us to do this.
An indicator muscle (any old muscle that is available for use) is used to test the answer to our "yes" and "no" questions. Your practitioner may use the arm muscles, leg muscles, and their fingers (like I do) and even muscles you can't see such as the toes or tongue muscles to test. A negative answer to a question gives a sagging, clicking, or spongy feeling to the indicator muscle by short-circuiting or overloading the system. This makes it impossible for the indicator muscle to maintain its strength or hold position when pressure is applied.
I believe that the body knows why it is sick and how it got that way. By asking the correct questions we are able to find the core cause of illness. Through muscle testing we can determine if the core cause of our weight issue was something we ate, drank, inhaled, or were in contact with and even which techniques can be utilized to best overcome the challenge.
Muscle testing is a tool. Some people just have a feeling what will work for them, some people listen to their intuition, some look for signs, some gather evidence to make decisions, and others just listen to their gut instinct. What I like about muscle testing is that I can ask the best healers to be present (including asking for God’s help) and ask a "yes" or "no" question to get an immediate answer.

So what do we do to change our stressful lives? You must first understand that there are many different forms of stressors to name a few; emotional, physical, nutritional as well as sleep deprivation. Hans Seyle did research with stress and adrenal function mediating the biological effects of stress. When the body undergoes stress, the adrenal glands trigger the release of the hormone cortisol.
Living a typical modern American lifestyle, you will be subject to chronic stress, inadequate nutrition, poor sleep, obesity and even greater stressors on the immune system. . Even imaginary stressors, such as fearfully thinking about a future event, can push the body into a stress overreaction. A basic premise in mind/body medicine is that chronic stress can contribute to illness, and that relaxation, positive ways of coping with stress and restoration of physical and emotional functioning will improve one’ s health. There are many cited studies that demonstrate that feelings of security, coupled with the ability to cope, counter negative emotions can interfere with healing and compromise the immune system encouraging cardiovascular disease.
Cortisol is necessary for normal brain, immune, muscle, blood sugar function and circulation.
High cortisol levels can be damaging, causing abdominal obesity, high blood sugar, , muscle weakness, bone loss, immune shutdown, poor wound healing, wrinkled skin, fluid retention, hypertension and insomnia. Excessive cortisol levels causes irritability, impaired memory, depressed memory, decreased libido, anxiety social withdrawal and hopelessness.
In a perfect world, we would make lifelong stress management an integral part of daily life by sleeping eight to nine hours, mini vacations from work, eating healthy foods, avoiding caffeine and alcohol or even taking an evening stroll for 30 minutes.
Unfortunately, most of us are lucky if we can practice one or two aspects of controlling stress and lifestyle. An alternative approach is needed to support healthy cortisol levels and help alleviate the unhealthy effects of stress.
Stress will always be around us and infiltrating our existence on a daily basis, but what we need to do is learn how to perceive stress in a different light and work with it and not against it.
Taking mood altering medications is not dealing with the cause of your stressors but it only helps you to escape what is inevitable.
Continuous stressors causes the brain to slow down producing irregular Rem cycles throughout the day and evening which leaves you in a state of constant flux. Conditioning the mind and body with appropriate Rem cycles, color therapy to affect the sensory cell receptors, and sound frequencies can all contribute in bringing about a total change in your emotional and physical state of well being.
Some nutritional advice in dealing with stress
Pantothenic acid, Gaba, Theanine, B complex, Vitamin C , Chamomile tea in the evenings,
Physical advice: Exercise, Yoga, Mediation, Psychology counseling, Tai Chi and Hypnosis
Motivational intent:
**Live in the moment.
** Learn to use things and love people, instead of using people and loving things
** Avoid self pity because the only one that feels bad is you.

Elevated cholesterol above 200 mg/dl raises your risk factor for heart disease. People that have levels lower than 200mg/dl also can have heart attacks. Cholesterol is divided into HDL and LDL. What’s more important is that if the HDL levels are high and LDL somewhat low, then the total cholesterol number becomes insignificant.
When doing lab testing the accurate way to test cholesterol is doing fractionated assay which is not a routine test.
We have to stop and think why does a truck driver who drives long distance, who is grossly overweight, drinks beer, have normal cholesterol level?
Is it genetics, dietary, or stress factors that cause elevated cholesterol?
It’s a little of everything. It is stated in Guidance Physiology books that stress is the major cause of cholesterol.
Eating animal foods containing saturated fat is linked to high serum cholesterol and heart disease. Significant amounts of animal-based saturated fat are found in beef, pork, veal, poultry, cheese, butter, ice cream, and other forms of dairy products not labeled fat free.
Don’t be confused by labels saying low fat. Low fat dairy products are not particularly low in fat. A full 25% of calories from 2% milk come from fat. The 2% refers to the fraction volume filled by fat, not the important percent of calories coming from fat.
Smoking increases risk of heart disease by lowering good HDL. It is a known fact that reducing stress and feeling of hostility has reduced the risk of heart disease.
Health Tip: To increase HDL and Lower LDL cholesterol
Beta-sitosterol
Octacosanol
Cholex
Royal Jelly
Time Released Niacin
Stress reduction, attitude change, and sound sleeping patterns all contribute in helping for a healthier longevity.

The idea that light and sound can illicit natural healing isn’t as far-fetched as you may think. Scientists already know that patterns of daylight and darkness affect our health. Daily light cycles regulate biological rhythms in animals, making birds migrate in the fall, bears to hibernate in winter, and certain animals to reproduce in the spring.
Scientists are discovering that sick individuals suffer from a mismatch between their energetic and physical systems. This mismatch involves the human energy system interface with the physical body through an external matrix. This external matrix is made up of crystalline structures and structured water that interact, amplify and radiate energy to the cells. Manipulating the electromagnetic resonances of life with light and sound regulates physiology of your body and opens up unlimited possibilities.
A new philosophy is the view that a wide spectrum of stressors can be assessed by observing subtle energy systems that govern physiology and give rise to chronic disease. Causative agents are not always detectable at the biochemical level.
Meridian therapy, an old ancient Chinese analysis and treatment, is a way to determine biochemical stressors and organ responses to stress factors which can synchronize enzymes and create an amplified crystalline resonant field that propels nutrients deep within the cells of the body, thereby improving nutrient uptake.
Using the exact resonant frequencies to meridian balancing of organs and body systems stabilizes molecular defenses , thereby reducing oxidative stress.
Light and sound resonant frequencies at a proper amplitude, wavelength , pitch and color may have a tremendous effect physically, emotionally and well as spiritually.
Being cognitive, alert and aware of light, sound and color on an everday basis can guide you into what makes you feel good. Through the process of quantum physics and the Voyager Spatial Healing Technology, all the work is done for you.

Electromagnetic pollution is and always will be a threat to the health and well-being of the inhabitants of this Earth. The electromagnetic frequencies on earth disrupts the human electrical fields. It may contribute to hormonal imbalance, enzyme secretion and immune modulation.
Electromagnetic pollution can also affect kidney and liver function resulting in increased toxicity which is often misdiagnosed as food allergies, Studies indicate that ELF frequencies disrupt and slow growth hormone production and may be a contributing factor why men as they age have lower testosterone and human growth hormone levels which can result in skin problems, depression, loss of hair, lower libido, graying, wrinkles and obesity.
Electromagnetic pollution was not a problem a century ago. It has become an occupational hazard of our high tech 20th century and will continue to get worse. It has been estimated that a typical American is exposed to 200 million times more intense electromagnetic radiation than our parents. The electromagnetic fields (EMF) included all the electrical wiring and switches, lights, appliances, hair dryers, electric shavers, electric blankets, water beds, refrigerators, radios, cell phones, televisions, microwave ovens, satellite relay stations and airplane travel.
A recent study even found that men who shave with electric razors are two to three times as likely to develop leukemia as those who use standard razors. We are immersed in EMF radiation from our cars on our way to work, computers, monitor, copier, fax machines, calculator and not to mention 25,000 volt ballasts used in fluorescent lighting.
Exposing the body to ionizing radiation activated the formation of free radicals which stimulates the formation of free radicals which
stimulates the formation of more free radicals. This can affect protein which may cause a disruption in the DNA cells causing damage to the genetics. The immune system can be damaged by the formation of mutated proteins and lead to forms of cancer plus a host of other diseases.
Protection of the human body takes conscious effort, physically, nutritionally and emotionally to help combat the forces of electromagnetic radiation
Stimulating the body with positive frequencies, of light, sound and color, can help to detox, distress the cells and autonomic nervous system. Increasing the millivolts of the cells which will cause increased respiration and oxygenation as well as electron transfer of energy to the entire autonomic nervous system promoting health.

Heart disease and stroke are the first and third causes of death, in the United States. High blood pressure killed nearly 50,000 Americans in 2002. The American Heart Association estimates that 73 million adults age 20 or older have hypertension. The growing numbers of population with hypertension is due to obesity epidemics and rising incidence of metabolic syndrome. A blood pressure level of 140/90 or more is considered high blood pressure. Blood pressure of 140 to 159 systolic and 90-99 is considered state 1 hypertension.
In stage 2 hypertension, usually 2 prescription medications are needed to maintain numbers less than 140/85. Approximately 90 percent to 95 percent of all hypertension causes aren’t known. While there is no cure for essential hypertension, it can be easily detected and controllable with lifestyle changes, nutritional intervention, stress management, and understanding of genetic and hereditary factors.
Lowering Blood Pressure Naturally!!!
The first step is lifestyle changes. Cessation of smoking, avoidance of caffeine and alcohol, cardiovascular exercise, sound sleep, enjoyable recreation, and a low sodium, potassium-rich, high fruit and vegetable diet. There are so many over the counter nutraceuticals that show potential in significantly lowering blood pressure without significant results. When assessing high blood pressure the causes are many. Just to name a few, it can come from
1- Kidney problems
2- Hereditary (family history)
3- Food Allergies
4- Smoking
5- High Stress
6- Poor sleep
7- Obesity
8- Pathologic disorders
Pressure-Norm was formulated to help maintain blood pressure within normal limits along with regular exercise and a well-balanced diet.* We know that high blood pressure affects approximately 50 million Americans age 6 and older. One in five Americans (and one in four adults) has high blood pressure. From 1991 to 2001 the death rate from high blood pressure increased 36.4 percent, but the actual number of deaths rose 53.0 percent. Non-Hispanic blacks are more likely to suffer from high blood pressure than are non-Hispanic whites. In 2001 the death rates per 100,000 populations from high blood pressure were 13.7 for white males, 47.8 for black males, 13.4 for white females and 38.9 for black females.
This formula enhances circulation sensitivity in people who have a tendency for high normal blood pressures, possibly by reducing oxidative stress and stimulating oxygen uptake ordinarily triggered by exercise.* This herbal remedy was developed to help alleviate physical conditions created by chronic emotional states.
The formula helps to:
* Decrease arterial tension*
* Relax blood vessels*
* Create a state of physical and emotional balance*
Only your health care professional can evaluate you on the proper plan of action and determine what approach you can take.

Diamond, John, M.D., Your Body Doesn’t Lie (Illustrated book on techniques of muscle testing)
Hawkins, David, M.D., Power vs. Force (Discussion of philosophical issues arising from muscle testing and this technique’s transformative potential for society)
Levy, Susan, D.C., Your Body Can Talk (Illustrated book on techniques of muscle testing)
These circuits " turn off" when imbalanced or blocked by illness, injury, or toxin overload. By balancing the body's energy, the systems are able to heal returning us to a state of health. Muscle testing is one method that allows us to do this.
An indicator muscle (any old muscle that is available for use) is used to test the answer to our "yes" and "no" questions. Your practitioner may use the arm muscles, leg muscles, their fingers (like I do) and even muscles you can't see such as the toes or tongue muscles to test. A negative answer to a question gives a sagging, clicking, or spongy feeling to the indicator muscle by short-circuiting or overloading the system. This makes it impossible for the indicator muscle to maintain its strength or hold position when pressure is applied.
specialties is clearing the emotions having to do with weight issues.

Healing with Energetic Frequency
Quantum Biofeedback works with the body at the energetic levels or frequencies where all our
living matter resonates. Quantum physics proved that all matter, both physical and chemical, is comprised of sub atomic particles with positive and negative electrical charge. Therefore, we are electrical beings and so is our universe and everything in it.
Through this discovery, it was determined that every form of chemical or physical matter has a specific, measurable frequency. This includes everything that makes up who we are: organs, blood, the neuropeptides and neurotransmitters that we experience as emotions or thoughts, amino acids that construct or DNA, hormones that control and regulate or bodies, minerals, vitamins, and fatty acids that feed our metabolism, etc. Electrical energy is our life force.
This is not a new concept. Ancient methods of healing including acupuncture, tai chi, chi gong, reiki, and homeopathy, all focus on energy as a healing force. Even Allopathic Medicine, or “western” medicine, utilizes this electrical energy for diagnosing illness through electroencephalogram (EEG), electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG), Electromyography (EMG), Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and Positron emission tomography (PET).
The Quantum Biofeedback Evoked Potential Bio-Feedback Device (EPFX) attaches to the patient via a head harness and wrists and ankle straps. The system then measures how the patient’s electrical frequency reacts to the electrical frequencies of over 10,000 different substances in three minutes. It generates a report of the highest and the lowest reactionary values, which guides the biofeedback practitioner to areas of weakness or dysfunction in the body. The system sends healing frequencies to the body, restoring its life force to bring harmony.
There are over 200 different ways this program can assess and treat the body. Here are just a few examples of how the device can help you reduce stress and restore the natural balance of your body.
* Stress Reduction – Stress disrupts our systemic energetic balance resulting in weaknesses and health issues involving hormones, digestion, energy production, emotions, thinking, premature aging, sleep, etc. This system detects these energetic imbalances and sends healthy frequencies to reduce stress and increase vital electromagnetic vibrations. It is an excellent guide toward necessary life style changes.
* Chronic Pain in Muscles, Nerves, and Joints – Pain whether from arthritis, repetitive strain injury, TMJ, surgery, injury, or wear and tear resonates at a particular frequency. Healthy electromagnetic frequencies are directly applied to the painful area neutralizing frequencies of degeneration, inflammation and pain and restoring healthy tissue and nerve function.
* Chakra Re-balancing – Chakras funnel healing energy into our bodies and play a critical role in our life force. They lie along our central axis and correlate with nerve centers branching from our spine. Each Chakra resonates at its own frequency. Chakras out of balance with energetic blockages can be restored to feed meridians and increase health and vitality throughout the body.
* Emotional Balancing – Every thought and feeling has a frequency. The device measures your reactivity to emotions such as anger, anxiety, depression, fear, rejection, awareness, pride, joy and many others and determines where you are out of balance. It sends the frequencies to calm dominant emotions and increase deficient neurotransmitters to help balance your emotional state.
* Traumatic Re-patterning – Traumatic experiences create patterns of neural netting in our brains that can hold us hostage to certain emotional “triggers,” that feel like a reenactment of the original trauma. Biofeedback can be a powerful healing tool to stabilize neuropeptides and neurotransmitters while building new neural netting to assist in healing from traumatic events.
* Digestive Rebalancing – There are many different causes of digestive problems leading to mal absorption, diarrhea, constipation, gas, bloating, bleeding, irritable bowel, etc. Enzyme deficiencies, food allergies, worms, fungus, bacteria, emotional stress and others can be detected and healed with energetic frequencies of both healthy tissue and the missing nutrition. Guidance is given towards necessary dietary and lifestyle changes.
* Endocrine Balancing – Stress affects the flow of energy from our brain to our delicate hormonal system. This results in a wide range of effects including unnecessary weight gain, infertility, fatigue, hypoglycemia, sexual dysfunction, and digestive problems. These issues stem from altered energetic frequencies that can be found and rebalanced.
* Nutritional Rebalancing – Measures your reaction to and sends healthy frequencies for deficiencies of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, flower essences, homeopathic remedies, Ayurveda, Spagyric plant essences and more. It will guide what physical substances you should be taking and tests any substance you are taking to see how you resonate with it on an energetic level.
* Pathogens- Bacteria, worms, fungus, and viruses have unique electromagnetic frequencies. The system can detect if you resonate with one. Frequencies unfriendly to the pathogen are sent to “zap” them.
* Spinal Balancing – Detects imbalances including decreased nerve conduction, emotional holding, inflammation and degeneration in our vertebra, cranium, sacrum and spinal cord. Energetic frequencies are sent to heal the imbalance and restore the vital life force of our nervous system.
* Organ Reactivity – Detects how organs are functioning together within the Immune, Exocrine, Endocrine, and Chakras systems. This includes the brain, thyroid, lymph, lungs, heart, liver, digestive, sex organs, etc. Imbalanced organs can be balanced with healthy electromagnetic frequencies to bring harmony to the organ and the system it functions within.
* Sports Programs – Restoring the vibration of healthy tissue has shown to be very powerful for treating injuries. Treatment includes the electromagnetic frequencies for rebalancing hormones, oxygenation, coordination, flexibility and mind-body focus for optimal performance.
* Homotoxicology – Your reactivity to many different electromagnetic frequencies of toxins is measured including beauty shop chemicals, allopathic drugs, asbestos, radiation, insecticides, industrial pollutants, food additives, caffeine, vaccinations, mercury, cell phone radiation, etc. Toxic energies found in your body can be neutralized with healing frequencies.
* Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) – Imbalances in your mental life (what you think and feel) affects your health and ability to enjoy life. This panel works organically to harmonize emotional causes of stress and disease.
* Anti-Aging – Identifies aberrant energies accelerating the degenerative aging process including inherited causes. Healing frequencies neutralize those energies, restoring healthy aging.
* Brain Wave Balancing- Identifies brain waves that have slow or reduced frequencies including attention deficit and balances them to improve focus, attention, and memory.
* Relationship Rebalancing –Rebalance the energetic frequencies between you and your partner spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, physically and mentally.

What It Means to Be a Being of Light
Mentored by Lawrence Kennedy, Ph.D.

Light and Sound are the primary electromagnetic frequency carriers for our existence and health. Significance is given to the Biblical story of Creation when stating that “first was the Word, then the Light.” Light grew out of Sound, and became a polarity parner (the positive charge tot eh negative) in helping to electromagnetically manifest existence on a physical level. Primal Life! Electromagnetic energy is created through the continual cycling of energy, as tonal waves and scalar waves of Sound Vibration and Light Radiation. Working as a harmonious team, they are perpetually in motion, creating a “perpetual motor” that produces electromagnetic energy.
You Are Light and Sound
You are composed of these electromagnetic invisible spiraling waves of Sound and Light. When your bodily engine is functioning optimally, you are healthy. Sometimes your electromagnetic engine can run down, which is when illness can take charge. These states can be seen when photographing the aura with Kirlian Electro-Photography.
Frequency Waves
Frequency waves have different shapes and lengths. These waves are shaped as a wavy form above and below a line (called sine waves), sawtooth or square waves. The length of a wave, or wavelength, is the distance through which sound travels. Sound waves vary in length, ranging from short to long. The length of a wave can determine whether it is beneficial or harmful to your body.
The electromagnetic frequency spectrum operates from a low to high frequency range, depending on the length of the wave. Long-slow oscillating waves, such as radio and micro waves, are considered extremely low frequency (ELF), and can be damaging to your body's electromagnetic circuitry. Falling into this detrimental category are micro-wave ovens, TVs and power lines.
Healing Waves
Shorter waves oscillate fast and emanate a high frequency wave, which is usually considered beneficially healing to your body. Examples of this include Soft Lasers, Rife equipment, Zapper + Light mini frequency generators and Multiple Wave Oscillator machines. Soft lasers correspond to the length of the wave and are measured as nanometers, or nm. The 635nm range, emanating a bright orange-red hue, is optimal for laser operation.
The Visible Spectrum
The visible rays of the light spectrum also produce waves (and particles), which positively assist you by bathing your electromagnetic body with multiple variations of color, to nurture your magnetic auric field. A deficit of such color light creates a light deprivation called SADS. Simu-Lasers are color light emitting examples of color enhancement to beneficially rebalance the chakras or manifested disharmony. Sound governs electricity as well as water, which is especially effective as a highly charged energized clustered “elixir water.”
Refraction, Reflection, and Rainbows of Light
Sound manifests itself in other ways. Reflection occurs when a sound wave strikes another object and is not absorbed, but is bounced back (mirror images). Refraction is an example of what happens when a sound wave passes from one media to another of different density and changes it sound wave form. When light refracts through tiny water droplets, a rainbow of colors can be seen. The different colors are the same light, but different wave lengths. Red on one end of the spectrum is considered a long wave length, while violet seen at the other end of the spectrum is a short wave length.
Musical Sounds and Colors
When musical notes are played, you hear sound waves that are associated with color wavelength. Each note with its corresponding color gives a sound vibration for your enjoyment. According to Edgar Cayce, “The violin here. We see...the entity gets the color rather than what is ordinarily called the tonal vibration, see? Though, of course, the tonal vibration is what which produces color. For, of course, color and tone are just different rates of vibration.” (EC 2156-1;2)
Colors Possess Force
The properties of light in regards to musical notes and their corresponding color from the visible light spectrum are either thermal, chemical, or luminous. Blues effect chemical reactions (chemism) with little or no heat, reds possess differing degrees of heat (thermism) with little or no chemical effects and yellows are neutral between these two extremes and responsible for luminosity.
Why Use Light and Sound
Why do you, as a Being of Light and Sound, need refueling? There is a growing increase as well as reoccurrence of disease in the 20th century. Depletion of nutritious mineralized foods, chemical and electromagnetic pollution (ELF) has created a “now” generation that functions sub-optimally, existing with little to no energy from weakened systems (immune, digestive). These can cause further complications, such as arthritis, chronic fatigue, and depression. Light and Sound in its many variations is soothing to Body, Mind, and Spirit.
